Why David Bellavia is the Right Choice for New York

The Republican and Conservative Parties made the wrong decision in New York in deciding to put money over principles in their choice for a candidate to run for the special election in the 26th Congressional District.

But it is about more than just principles.

We are in a critical stage of the American experiment.  One whose outcome will decide whether we and our descendents experience a rebirth of the uniquely American experiment in individual liberty or a slide into the tyranny of mob rule, crony capitalism, and overweaning bureacracy.  It is a dangerous time.  A time that will try men’s hearts and souls.  That will reveal or shatter their inner strengths.  That will expose their wisdom or deceit.

It is a time of war.  Both external and internal.  Enemies from without want to tear down the structures and strengths of our nation, destroy our will to lead, erode our capability to fight.  Enemies from within wish to do the same.  There is a reason for the term “enemies, foreign and domestic” that is in so many oaths of office.  Oaths that those same enemies disregard.

The signs of the internal war are manifest in the recent occupation of the state capital in Wisconsin.  Thuggery, Threats, Assaults.  The raising of mobs to intimidate lawmakers.  These tactics are the hallmark of the enemy within.

These behaviors will continue and spread, as they did to other cities around the nation, on orders of those who would undermine our civil society.  In the coming months their expression will intensify as our elected representatives fight to regain control of our national government from the clutches of the radicals who have done everything possible to destroy it.

When that mob has surrounded our representatives.  I want to be represented by men like David Bellavia, Allen West and others who have the principles, inner strength and experience to face it down and prevail against all odds.  Men and women for whom the mission is not just politics as usual.  Men and women who believe in those principles to their very core.  Men and women who are willing to lay down their lives for the future of this great nation so that it may never perish from the face of the earth.

David Bellavia is one such man.

Now go read what another great man wrote about David.

The case you lay out is eloquent and principled. You make a very strong case for David to be the Republican and Conservative candidate. However, the R and C nominee has already been selected. David’s merits as a potential candidate do not justify slurring another qualified conservative candidate. We need to unite around Jane.

I disagree, Engineer, perhaps I wouldn’t make a good German or a good lemming because I don’t necessarily follow the party line. If you read the article all the way through I explain why Bellavia is the man for the job. We need representatives in there with the constitutional fortitude and strength of character to stand against the tide of mob insurrection we are going to face. Wisconsin was just a warm up. They are agitating and gearing up for the next battles.

We need folks who can face them down and won’t wilt in the face of fierce opposition like a career politician would. Have you ever been face to face with a union thug screaming that he was going to rip your head off? If not, then you have no clue what this next session is going to face.

Jane has faced that exact type of adversity in Albany. Have you not seen the tactics used by the unions to extract money from the public coffers? It takes guts to vote NO–as Jane has, time again–when your opponents are using disabled people, young children and the elderly as political props. I am unable to find a single vote where she has sided with the unions against the taxpayers. It’s interesting how Jane’s wealth has been used as a slur against her, when it is the very fact that she doesn’t need to rely on the legislature as a career that allows her to do the right thing and not worry about being re-elected.

I encourage you to look closely at those individuals who are encouraging Bellavia to run. There are two PACs in particular which have been trying to fundraise off of his potential candidacy, PACs whose FEC records will show you that the money raised ends up in the proprietor’s pockets, not the candidate’s coffers.

        I was there for NY-23. This isn’t NY-23.
